Question by jdevans3: Is there much difference b/t getting a grad degree from a place like University of Texas or a lesser school?
First off, i want to put a few texas schools in perspective. say Rice is tier 1, UT at Austin is tier 2 (although not by much, but bear with me), and another school, say mine, Texas A&M University- Kingsville is tier 3

Ok, so say theres a student, lets call him me, gets a his undergrad degree at this tier 3 school and he wants to continue his education and get his grad degree. it would be alot easier just to stay at the same school, but he could go to another, like UT in Austin. What are the long term advantages to going to UT? would there be more opportunities if i were to get my grad degree at UT?

btw im a engineering major
i say texas a&m kingsville, which is NOT the same as texas A&M

I can tell you would do fine in Austin. A degree from A&M is , to me, better, because everyone in Texas knows you have to be SMART to even get in at A&M.

Question by Henry T.: Yankees fans: Trading for Curtis Granderson — you like the move?
I hate it! I don’t mind Granderson joining our team. He’s a fantastic defensive centerfielder, can hit for power and take advantage of the short porch in right, and he’ll allow Brett Gardner to keep his valuable role as a reserve. But Granderson has major holes, like hitting lefties. (Hopefully a Matsui re-signing can lessen the blow there.)

But I hate the fact we gave up Austin Jackson AND Phil Coke. I hope it works, but I hate giving up hot-shot prospects. I can’t help but think of the Mariano Rivera-for-Felix Fermin or Phil Hughes/Joba Chamberlain/Robinson Cano-for-Johan Santana trades that were NOT made!
Kevin A: Phil Coke led our team in pitching appearances last year. He did have a home run problem, but he was counted on to get all the big lefty outs when Marte was injured/sucking. He did a pretty darn good job, and he’s still young and can get better. Granderson has problems hitting lefties and strikes out too much. We already have power hitters like Teixeira and Rodriguez. We need guys to get on base and move runners up in front of them, and I’m not sure Granderson is someone who can do that. Maybe we move Melky to the 2 hole and Granderson to the fifth spot, but that would be a huge downgrade from Matsui, who is incredibly clutch and can hit lefties and righties. I hope we re-sign Matsui to part-time DH, part-time play outfield.

his names austin and he goes to my skool, and i passed his classroom that he was in everyday and i thought he was sexy as hell! lol. i saw him and his bro in lunch one day & asked if he could get me a ketchup and austin, said to the lunch lady, can i have some ketchup for this beautiful girl…and i blushed. well i went to a party and to my surprise i saw him and he introduced himself to me and i just stood there in shock cause i didn’t think i would ever meet him lol. i tried to talk to him but i drank a little and was tipsy and i couldn’t think of the last word of my question so i was embarrsed lol, it sucked. but it was all good. we played truth or dare and i dared him to take off his shirt and he did but his body wasn’t as nice as i thought it would’ve beeen but it was still hot. we saw each other in lunch everyday after that. homecoming was coming up and he came to my table with his friends and asked me if i was going to homecoming and i told him i wasnt sure if i was going or not and he suggested that i should go and buy a ticket. i had messaged him on myspace and asked him about homecoming and he said he was going….i ended up never buying a ticket b/c i thought he would just go w/ another girl and forget about me or something silly like that. idk maybe i was just being strange…i had looked at my friends pic on myspace and i noticed that austin had commented it and said, tell the girl on the left to hit me up, (and he was talkin about me). i talked to my bestfriend about it and she told me that she messaged him and asked him who he was talkin about and he said, “is that a seriouse question amelia had me at hello but i think shes more women than i can handle”. what exactly does that mean?…and also i asked him why he talks to me on myspace and not at skool and he said, “because im shy” …did he just say that b/c he dosen’t really like me? or is he honestly shy?

on october 20th he motioned me to come over to his table at lunch and i didnt go over there cause i thought it would be akward..so his guy friend came over to me and handed me a party invitation to a b-day/costume party and it was a chick’s invitation.he told me that austin was inviteing me to go. i was really un sure about it and didnt know if i should go. when i went into the line to get lunch austin and his friend were up there and his friend (who always says im “austin’s girl”), he asked if i was gonna go to the party and i told idk. he said,”guess what austin’s gonna wear, nothing lol”, and i just ignored all of what he said. then he asked,” are you gonna get drunk so austin can take advantage of you?”, do you think he said that just to make austin say something to him or what? i ended up not going to the party cause i thought that it wouldnt have been fun…everyday he sees me at lunch and we both smile at eachother and i’ll look back while he i walk by him and he’ll still be smiling and looking at me. do you think he honestly likes me or is he just playing around w/ me?

1) what does it mean? nothing at all, they can’t think straight. Maybe you’re too serious or girly.

2) Yes he is shy, he does like you (I talked to a guy online and not in real life cause he was shy too)

3) He’s jealous, just teasing you.

4) definitely likes you.
